Eat, breathe and (literally) sleep iPhone

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

If you’re obsessed with all things Apple, particularly the iPhone or iPod touch, you can now go to the next level… with iPhone bedding.

I would like to think that this was designed for young kids, but I have a feeling it will be purchased by grown men who don’t plan on bringing anybody back to their place.

Recession inspired iPhone case

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

You lost your job. Your house is in foreclosure. So what? That doesn’t mean that you can’t afford a nice iPhone case. Let us introduce you to the Case-Mate 3GS iPhone Recession Case.

This fancy little case has some very high-priced features, including:

Q) Can I use this case to microwave my frozen pizzas?
A) I dont see why not, although we cant insure quality taste

Q) Will this case make me awesome?
A) I think that goes without saying

Q) Is there a warranty?
A) no, it is cardboard afterall

Q) Can I get a paper cut on my ear while using this case?
A) My first guess would be no, but anything is possible, we dont promote unsafe use of the recession case

Q) How long will the case be sold?
A) as long as it needs to be to get us out of this recession! or while supplies last

Genius. I want one.

iPhone earbuds survive the wash cycle

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

I don’t think Apple is in the business of making waterproof electronics, but so far they’ve done pretty well. Awhile back we told you about a guy who dropped his iPhone in a pool and the thing actually survived. Today, we did a little experiment of our own. And by experiment I mean something happened that was a complete accident, but the end result wasn’t too shabby.

While folding laundry this afternoon, I found a wadded up ball of wire buried among the shirts. Turns out it was iPhone earbuds. They made a complete trip through the washer and right into the dryer. Although the wire now looks a lot like a Ramen noodle, they remarkably still work!

Wireless charging from WildCharge

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

The biggest headache when using a mobile device is having the battery run out (losing the signal sucks too, but sometimes you didn’t feel like talking to that person anyway. And even if the signal doesn’t cut out, you can just hang up on someone any time and say “oh the call got dropped.” You can add “my battery died too” if you need to really sell the lie.)

WildCharge

So, WildCharge has a solution for your iPhone or iTouch. For $34.99 you get the skin for the phone, and for $74.99, you get the skin and the charger pad thing.

But, you’ll need both for it to work, so just getting the skin is worthless. So, the skin goes on and there is a piece that goes into your charger port, and then when you lay it on the pad, it charges. Pretty neat.

No more Bluetooth for iPhone?

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Thanks to our good friends at AppleInsider.com (they have no idea who we are), we found out that it appears that Apple will be discontinuing their Bluetooth headset. A couple of our their astute readers pointed it out to us them.

Check out the picture:

iPhone Coffee Table

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

I stumbled across pictures of an iPhone-inspired coffee table today on iLounge. It was built by Tuan Nguyen, Ken Thomas and some friends. The table, made from corrugated cardboard and stuck together with white glue, features removable coasters disguised as app icons.

New SoliCharger for iPhone

Friday, January 30th, 2009

This is neat. SoliLight has come out with the SoliCharger, which recharges your iPhone or iPod on the go, but doesn’t need to be periodically plugged in like other chargers.

Chargers like Shawne Merriman need to be plugged in occasionally. Damn we’re funny.

The SoliCharger can recharge your iPod or iPhone in four different ways:

* Directly from the SUN! Free solar power!
* Directly from your computer via the Apple/USB cord
* Directly from the 110v AppleĀ® USB charging cord
* Directly from any 12v Apple compatible car charger
